2024 Accomplishments by the Numbers

  • $176+ million awarded to support 48 public health partners to strengthen the public health system.
  • 582 participants enrolled in career fellowship programs, of which 282 (48%) are embedded with state, tribal, local, and territorial health agencies, addressing critical gaps in public health workforce capacity and providing pathways to careers in public health.
  • 235 fellows supported 137 technical assistance activities.
  • 15 tribal engagements and 6 tribal advisory committee meetings for the agency.
  • 13 journal manuscripts and 2 MMWR articles published, and 105 scientific abstracts cleared.
  • $1.2 billion budget managed from 34 funding lines.
