State-Level Patterns and Trends in Cigarette Smoking Across Racial and Ethnic Groups in the United States, 2011–2018

In Idaho, smoking prevalence declined from 2011 to 2018 among Hispanic adults, but smoking prevalence remained stable among White adults. In Indiana, smoking prevalence declined among Black adults, but smoking prevalence remained stable among White adults. In Virginia, smoking prevalence declined at a faster rate among Hispanic and Other adults compared with White adults. In Wisconsin, smoking prevalence declined at a faster rate among Black and Other adults compared with White adults.
