In the article, "Update: Investigation of
Bioterrorism-Related Anthrax and
Interim Guidelines for Exposure Management and Antimicrobial Therapy, October
2001,"
on page 911 two dates were incorrect. The fourth sentence of the fourth
paragraph should read "The patient was reported to CDC on
October 15, and serologic testing at CDC was positive to
B. anthracis." The first sentence of the sixth paragraph
should read, "On October 18, the postal facility was closed; the New Jersey Department
of Health and Senior Services recommended that postal workers at both postal
facilities initiate anti-microbial prophylaxis pending further epidemiologic and
environmental investigation."
